Before him 78 brave souls have ventured into Phobos:
62 of those were killed.
1 of those was killed by something unknown.
And 11 couldn't handle the stress and committed a stupid suicide.
Some rumours though, say that the Cyberdemon was killed already!
Is he immortal? 4 souls claim to have killed him...
4 killed the bastard and survived.

I was initially going for 100% kill, but I decided to check the vaults for anything special with no luck.
Ammo wasn't a problem until around level 22 where i ran out of former's with pistols and chainguns and i managed to luckily get to the Cyberdemon........only to run out of ammo!
Stupid me forgot about the 'Run' tactic but managed to get behind a pillar and after talking to a friend decided to try and punch him to death, with the nuke as backup - Lucky me the first punch connected and finished him off!
My traits are mis-matched due to circumstances that I wanted to see things before they saw me and I got Init(2)
This is my first AoMr that got past level 12, my other wins consist of ITYTD,AoSg and a HMP (I was lucky!).
EDIT: Ack! just noticed there is a AoMr sub-forum, sorry if this is in the wrong spot.

If I'm correct, there is no need to take TaN on a pistol run. Overpowered pistols are always better than some armor. Int2 is good, but I usually take EE1 first, then some levels of offensive traits, and only then EE2+Int2.
Didn't you notice any uniques? I thought there is always at least one lying around. Finding an unique is always a good sign, even if you don't need it.
Vaults can't be fully cleared even on a typical normal game, so on AoMr the chance of getting something worthy is minimal. If you're not specially aiming for it, I do not recommend going there.
Anyway, congratulations on joining the ranks of marksmans, and good luck on further pistol runs.

Did you just punch out the Cyberdemon? (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu)

I'm not sure what i was thinking at that point, but with TaN i needed some more HP due to Mancubi rockets+maze levels. I'm still pretty new to DoomRL so any tips are great.

I didnt get a notification of any unique's IIRC, funnily enough i got the trigun 3 times in a row on my last runs without getting anywhere but this run i got nothing and made it.

Oh man, seriously? i could of gotten the 100% kill badge! gah, ill try again on a another challenge i think.

Thanks, it was a REALLY risky run near the end.
Did you just punch out the Cyberdemon? (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DidYouJustPunchOutCthulhu)
Why yes, yes i did. (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DavidVersusGoliath) I now have a melee kill against Cybie on my sheet. Speaking of which, shouldnt it track the most damage as the "kill", not the final blow?

As far as a pistol run goes, I can't believe I didn't see a third SoG in there. Even if you wanted Intx2 as soon as pistolly possible, additional points into SoG are exponentially better, not just linearly. Case in point, there's a huge difference between 0.72 and 0.48 firing speed. As far as trait placement goes, however, Iro is typically superior to TaN so late in the game and, that aside, Fin->WK, SoB, or HR->DM->MGK are better options.
Anyway, congrats on your first AoMr victory, all the better that you did it without a unique. (Seriously though, I bet you would have had more ammo at the endgame if you'd taken the SoGx3.)

Ack, i cannot believe i forgot about SoG(3), That would of solved my ammo problem. I was going to get WK but i didnt find many mods to begin with and found even less later on but got Fin anyway because of the firetime reduction.
As with iro/TaN, i think i was going for badass but it was too late in the game i think, Ill take your advice and go Iro next time, Thanks.
If MGK is Gun Kata(Im still not sure of all the acronyms), I'm....not sure why i didnt get it after init(2). it was around 1/2am after all. (curse you DoomRL! must.....play....more!)

Amazing, walk in, trenchcoat, pistols blazing ... run out of ammo ... what do you do? Shoryuken!
