Playing at work during some quiet periods, hence the need to save. This means no sound. Which means intuition 2 was a must.
Finding the blaster somewhere around level 10 was a god send. Power modded it could destroy walls, and with intuition 2 I could spam fire until the things I couldn't see had all died. The minigun I was using two store effectively two stacks of 10mm ammo.

Walls have HP and armor, just like any other solid object in DoomRL. For the case of walls, either there's an exception made for explosive/plasma damage, or that (if modified damage < armor; then damage = 0) and that only plasma and explosives are the only types that can hurt walls enough for this to happen. Blaster's really handy in that the individual shots are modded by SoG and SoB, and power mods bump this even more so to allow for penetration.
From what I can see in the mortem, this is not YAFW: care to explain?

I think I misunderstood the acronym, edited. It's my first Angel of Markmanship win.
I understood walls had health/armour just didn't expect to be able to get through it with the blaster (because I thought it was normal damage).

Around here, it's either Yet Another Victory Post (kill Cybie somehow), Yet Another Fucking/Full Win (Defeat the "Secret" Boss), Yet Another Stupid Death (Die without killing Cybie), or Yet Another Asskicking Marine (100% and killed Cybie)

Blaster with SoGx3 packs one master trait into one exotic and 3 traits. It's fast firing rate and average damage and infinite ammo makes it almost identical to Ammochain chaingun. To quote one game: 'Why aim when you can shoot that fast'. EE1 is useful, but wasting 3 more levels to get int2 I suppose isn't worthy. I suppose that Fin2+SoB1 would be better for the Blaster than Int2.

Got Int 2 before the blaster, and playing without the sound on makes int 2 kind of essential.
