Title: [0.9.9.3.] Advanced assemblies without whizkid?
Post by: Silhar on May 11, 2011, 16:33
It is actually possible to assemble a three-mod weapon and two-mod armor without having WK(1).
Is it a bug?

I'm going with the rules of the Internet on this one.

Pics or it didn't happen.  >.<

[Sorry...]

Is it a bug?
Considering there are three basic assembly armors, all of which fit the "two-mod" description, that part isn't a bug.

Making an advanced assembly without WK is certainly a bug.  Without any evidence of this happening, however, it's pretty much impossible to fix it, as there's no point from which to start.

Somehow I doubt that.

weird... its almost as if you need some kind of detail or reproducability for a bug report to be useful ?_?

or at least more than a single sentence. If he explained HOW he did it we would be a bit more accepting of it.

Indeed; to fix a bug we must first know what causes the bug. If we can't reproduce the circumstances exactly, any fixes would be hit-or-miss.

Wild speculation: There's a missing check in the "decline to make assembly" code path.

Okay guys, my bad. Although it is possible to make a basic assembly with no WK at all, advanced ones don't work.
Dunno why I thought tactical shotgun to be an advanced assembly...

Sorry for confusion.

Don't worry about it.  At least it got sorted out.

Not a bug (thankfully), locking.

Also, way to be a doubter, Thomas.
