I came across a few extra power mods and, without any more pressing use, I figured it might be worthwhile to convert one of my extra red armors to it so, on the offchance that my other armors get trashed, I still have that to fall back on.
Well-- doing it when the armor was at 1% may not have been the brightest move:
Armor : nanofiber red armor [1]
Do people think this is a bug, or intended to work this way since, well, the armor was pretty beaten up before it was made invulnerable...

This is an assembly. It's quite intentional!

Well, yes, the -1 and the decreased movement speed is the assembly effect. I was somewhat surprised to see it locked at 1 though, instead of 0 [which would be present-1] or 3 [which fits the 'original-1' listed on the wiki].

It's a little deep into the bug forum, but this question has already been answered here (http://forum.chaosforge.org/index.php/topic,3900.0.html). To be brief, this is intentional, but you can use armor shards to get back its durability (and therefore the increased protection).
