Title: [0.9.9.4] MVm + Jug = ..?

Recent melee game (my first speedrunner badges, yaaaay!), I went for Vampire. Got Juggler shortly afterward, forgot I was close to the Cathedral. With a Chainsaw prepared, modded Combat SHotgun selected, relying on the Juggler auto-melee effect, Vampire did not boost health.

As I recall, Berserker functioned properly, however.

I can't reproduce this strange interaction between Juggler and Vampyre. Looking at the code, I don't see any reason why there should be an interaction. I'll investigate alternate causes of Vampyre not triggering, but more information could be useful.

Sorry, I was really rushing through things (like I said, I was going for Speedrunner), so I can't remember many specifics. I remember I was killing Lost Souls when this happened, it's possible one just hit me right before I killed it.

I'm kind of hoping that's not the case as I'd rather not have filed a bad report.

I think i might know. The weapon ou are holding is credited as being used for any kills you make. Therefore if you were holding the combat shotgun at the time, the kills made with the auto-prepared-melee won't count as melee kills --> no health boost.

Alright, I had the same situation set up earlier in Ao100.

Turns out, it was just me getting hit for the exact same damage as the healing and not noticing; subsequent pummeling in melee while holding a gun worked properly.

PEBKAC, not bug!
