My external hard drive that I kept DoomRL and most my other games on decided to go catywompus on me a couple weeks ago. I had only just finally reached Sergeant Major a little while before this.
So I no longer have my player profile and have been put off at playing only to have to start over completely.
Anyone happen to have a profile just at Sergeant Major they'd be willing to share? I can't remember all my exact badges, but I know it was 13 bronze and 3 silver.

An alternative would be to rest up and await the release of 0.9.9.5 so that you will feel happier to start over!
(0.9.9.5 has so many changes that starting over makes more sense than continuing 0.9.9.4...)

Indeed. Ima start over as well.

I can give you my stuff a bit later though.
Edit: There you go. (http://www.mediafire.com/?46hb3za8sla93qn)

Thanks Bloax. Appreciate it.
It took me a LONG time to get as far as I did and I don't have much time to play in general. Even if the new version is gonna make a bunch of changes (yet again) to how the game plays, I hardly feel like starting over from scratch.

Cloud saving profiles is one of the planned features :>

I have no idea what Cloud is.

Basically, it's about storing your stuff elsewhere, most likely behind an account.
So that it won't matter whenever you have your profile with you, as long as you can log into the service, you'll have your stuff.

... online play, perhaps? A public server, even more perhaps?
Dungeon Crawl, for instance, works _extremely_ well online.
Zot:5 ghosts of _other_ players are even more of a nightmare that Nightmare! is here.

I hope saving profiles in the Cloud and other possibile online features (high score list, viewing profiles of other players) will be option not necessity. I do not like if game forces me to stay online or downloads/uploads data without notice.
