Title: [0.9.9.5| linux Debian Squeeze x64] Can't see the badges, medals... section
Post by: John_Wheel on January 05, 2012, 15:26: The 0.9.9.4 linux x64 version worked fine in the same system, but 0.9.9.5 crash when I try to enter in the Show Player option.

I don't know if it's related, but when I full won the game in the screen that shows your new rank didn't show my titles, just a space where they should appear. Also, I used two nukes and during the countdown the number of remaining seconds in the messages didn't appear either.

I did copy old player.wad from 0.9.9.4. It doesn't work with a fresh install, however.

Post by: Kornel Kisielewicz on January 06, 2012, 03:54: Ok, sorry for implying. It's just that it breaks while trying to access a over-the-top rank. We'll take a look at it ASAP. Now the question is does it break for all people with x64? What about 32 bit?

Also, might it be a file permissions problem?

Post by: popcorp on January 06, 2012, 07:02: It seems to be just the x64 platform error. On 32 bit, i've got no such problem.

File permissons are also OK, fresh player.wad is created if it does not exist and it is r/w'able by an user running the game.

Just before ncurses takes over the terminal, following message is printed out:
/lib64/libz.so.1: no version information available (required by ./doomrl)

Post by: AStranger on February 13, 2012, 20:47: Sweet, I'm glad this is already known. I was just about to post that the x64 copy won't open my old player file (or a fresh one either), but the 32bit copy works fine with my old file or with a fresh one. Just think of all the bits DoomRL is missing.
