Even though I can't use them, I still like to pick up exotics and uniques when I come across them, even when I already have them. So after I picked up the BFG9000 on Halls of Carnage, I decided to finish clearing out the level, and discovered that my Berserker trait no longer triggered.

That sounds suspiciously like what happened in a melee run recently for me... No mortem to show for it but it was rather the same - picked up something that I couldn't use, and lost the zerker bonus - some really hard hitting guys ate me up in a couple of hits.

Well, I talked to Game Hunter, and it turns out that in order for a hit to count toward Berserker, it must deal at least 10 damage.
After picking up the BFG, I unequipped and dropped it, but...

... I forgot to reequip my knife. My damage was only 7-9. (1d3 + 6 with Bru2). It'd never trigger Berserker. Whoops.
In short, not a bug.

That would explain it... I had Bru->Bru->Ber and was using fists only, and was wondering why it didn't trigger the zerk. If anybody important is reading this, could this be changed such that the minimum damage is 7, ie with Brute 2 you are guaranteed to trigger Berserker?
