The all resistance ones, such as cerberus armor, do, and those with fire+plasma usually have acid resist, but no armor protects only against acid.

Do boots with acid resistance make any difference when taking damage from acid projectiles?

No, deflecting projectiles with a kick is not implemented.

Come on guys, we all know that DoomGuy can't jump, nor can he kick.

That's Duke Nukem's job!

Does acid resistance affect armor degredation, or just mitigation? I.e., acid damage degrades armor more quickly than other attacks. Does acid resistance actually slow down this rate of degradation?

well, armor is degraded by the same amount that is subtracted out of character's HP, and acid doubles the damage done to armor. So the andswer is yes and no, yes because the armor gets damages less because the Doomguy gets damaged less, and no that the armor takes twice the damage anyway.
