Title: [G-win-0996] I'm bleeding everywhere
Post by: Khashishi on March 19, 2012, 19:52
It seems like randomly, my player will spew puddles of blood wherever he walks. It doesn't seem too correlated with taking damage, so I think it's a bug. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to notice what triggers it.

Walking across corpses or lots of blood on the floor can result in more blood. Think of it as leaving a trail after getting your feet covered in it.

Yeah... I always instinctively think I'm bleeding real bad when this happens. It's a nice touch, but confusing sometimes.

Also, you can use this to spot enemies outside your field of vision. I notice it with hell's arena demons most of the time. That sounds like something that probably shouldn't happen, similar to you seeing if a former picks up something outside your sight.

Yeah, this is part of a more general bug in which things outside of your vision are updated, which ought to be fixed sometime. I would imagine that Computer/Tracking Maps would maintain updates, however.

You can also track enemies like this in the console version if you change the color binding of blood_dark.  ;)
