Really, the subject says it all, but I think it should be a powerup and not an item.

Quad damage power-up would be really cool and fun to play with. I think most people would probably have a blast with it if it made it in the game. I know I would.

Just one issue/question: Should it stack together with Berserk for melee damage, or not?
I see it working the following ways:
- Quad would only work for non-melee;
- Quad would work for melee, but will not stack with Berserk damage;
- both Quad and Berserk would stack for ultra melee damage Guts-type :] ;

Hmm.. I'd rather keep it very rare, perhaps even an unique powerup? Regular, even rare items should be mostly just doom IMO.

My gut reaction is that it'd be overpowered but then again it's supposed to be.

I think a short lasting damage buff that gives no healing isn't that overpowered, and by short lasting I mean about half of a zrek pack

Could last normal time, but be an unique powerup.

It's not any more overpowered than invulnerability or megasphere. You could reduce the probabilities of the other powerups to balance it out.
