A few days ago I stumbled upon the Jackhammer and already had a MAc build running. Firing the Jackhammer used up 5 shells, is this intentional? Or did anyone else experience this?

Yeah - MAc doesn't affect the Jackhammer. (So the fact that it fired that many shells is intentional)

What I actually meant was if the Jackhammer is affected by 2x Triggerhappy despite being a Shotgun.

Yeah - it also is.
It's kinda like the GCB - which is also affected by TH. (Although being a pistol)

The Wiki still states Triggerhappy to affect non-shotguns only so I got confused a bit.

Jackhammer isn't a shotgun, it's a gift from god.
Also, I'm only posting this because the same avatar on both posters is driving me crazy.

Triggerhappy was changed to affect shotguns in 0.9.9.5. This is intended.

But Is there Jackhammer only rapid shotgun in the game or not? Or they suggest about mods and weapon creation?
Also, some line from version_api.txt

So it is possible to create shotgun that works with ammochain?

Jackhammer and double shotgun (and super shotgun) are both rapidfire shotguns, but double shotgun is limited by its magazine size. The generality of the comment in the changelog and the remark about ALT_CHAIN mainly applies to custom modules.

Strange... If double shotgun is supposed to be rapidfire one, then BBB-modding it would result to [4/4] (2*1.3^3 = 4.4 round to 4) magazine. Instead, B-modding just decreases his reload time, as if doube shotgun would be single-shot weapon.
Also, dunno if it is a bug or not: i have BBBNN modded double shotugn, and i have shottyman trait. And modded shotgun is reloaded on move from shells in my inventory. Despite of the fact that nano-modded weapons cannot be reload from regular ammo.

Forget what i've said, its a crap. If you would set IF_MODABLE flag for Jackhammer and greatly increase clip size for super and double, you will discower that jackhammer a) can be modded with firestorm pack b) work with TH, and otherwise, super and double shotguns can't and don't.
