Some of the achievements require you to take a min/max amount of damage to obtain them. There's also achievements for completing the game in a max number of turns or minutes. While the latter is extensively reported both in the mortems and in the in-game character information, the former depends on guesswork. And althought I can work out wat the average of xDy damage will be, I'm sure as hell not going to keep track of the number of times I got shot with every form of attack - I'm clueless as to the least and most amount of damage suffered in a game so far, and very curious.
Can this info be included please? The mortem would be fine, the in-game char screen would be an added bonus.

Yes, this would be great.
The last time I tried getting the Untouchables I had to use notepad to keep track of the received damage and it felt pretty silly real fast...

I simply didn't take any medkits/globes/zerks/healing levers and only took three invulns far in the game at once that lasted me until the mastermind. It made the game a little tougher (eg. I could only run once per level) but that at least allowed me to stomach the guilt from playing on ITYTD =)
You get 50 HP from the start on a non-marine, so as long as you finish the game without taking any healing, you should get the best untouchable medal.
At first I tried to get the untouchable badges on AoHu and I took notes of damage as well, but then I realized that the method I described is simplier and ITYTD without healing isn't much easier than AoHu, since you don't get the mods in the beginning (almost guarateed tactical shotty) and extra loot from arena (A-modded phaseshift armour? Yes please!), not to mention the mods you can get in the armoury. Since I planned to run through hell anyway, the increased numbers of enemies isn't so big of a deal.

Yeah makes sense, but then again it's the Iron Cross counter I'll be having difficulty with :S
-
Iron cross counter? What is that?

I believe he means the Iron Skull, which is 10,000 damage (or 30,000 I forget) damage in a single game.
-
Oh, right. I think I'll try to get by abusing vampyre and pain elementals eventually.
-
Iron Skull is what I meant yeah. I'd just like to get a feel for how much (or little) damage I'm taking with each run before trying to attempt either the Untouchable or Iron Skull.
-
How about just the ability to track certain badges/medals? Like Gatekeeper, no-damage trophies, Iron Fist or Knives, etc.
-
....no sorry, you lost me there. What exactly do you mean? Gatekeeper for example is very straightforward; you've either completed the Anomaly, or you haven't. Please elaborate, thanks.

Gatekeeper also involves taking no damage on Anomoly/Babel. (Or at least one rank of it...)
-
That's a single level. You should be able to remember is you got hit or not...
-
nitpicks
You know what I meant... some sort of in-game indication that certain medals you're shooting for have been earned (or failed).
-
Yeah well as Klear pointed out, some achievements are easier to keep track of than others. I thought the damages related ones in particular could use a little help. Don't have the time to look into the rest at this point, but I don't believe there are any ones of the same caliber.
-
Yeah, that is true. I was just surprised to see the gatekeeper badges listed there.
I'm not sure but I have a feeling that you can't see how many turns you have taken so far, which is what some badges/medals require.
-
Yeah, you can, by pressing '@'. Don't know if it keeps track of time as well.
As I said, to be able to see it here would be an added bonus, I'd mostly like to see it in the mortems.

If you mean real-time, I don't think so.
-
That particular thing can be easily solved with a stopwatch.
-
Exactum. As I said, having the char info keep track of the damage you took isn't even the real feature I'd like to see; just a total damage suffered (or come to think of it, both total damages suffered and dealt) in each mortem would be grand in my book.

Fortunately for you guys, tehtmi resigned the various statistics so that they automatically update whenever called. That means it should be a very trivial matter to include this kind of information just about anywhere. In fact, given how nice the new equipment screen is now, I'm tempted to drop the equipment stats on the "player info" screen and instead flood it with more useful information (like real-time seconds, enemies killed, damage taken). Sounds like a better use of space.
