Now I try the NEW DoomRL - 0.9.9.7.
It seems like not completely but quite different game. Enemies shoot more, Lost Souls now have a new attack, and a lot of special levels rewritten or changed. Assemblies seems the same, but Tac boots nerfed (no dodge bonus), maybe some more changes that I don't find in first run.
I think that previous version was... not better, of course. But has another possibilities and ... Kornel, why you hide previous (0.9.9.6) version from download page? It was a good game, explored and documented at wiki. May be somebody wants try it later. I think that full archive of previous versions needed
Windows version of DoomRL 0.9.9.6
http://doom.chaosforge.org/file_download/22/ (installer)
http://doom.chaosforge.org/file_download/23/ (full zip)
http://doom.chaosforge.org/file_download/27/ (low quality, zip)
...
Windows version of DoomRL 0.9.9.5
http://doom.chaosforge.org/file_download/18/
Windows version of DoomRL 0.9.9.4
http://doom.chaosforge.org/file_download/13/
and so.
Ok, we can test full list from 10 up to 39 in file number. But may be archive page, at official site, will be a right solution?

This needs to happen. I do find certain things about older versions superior - I just wish we could backfill content :P
-
Actually I think an Archive page wouldn't be a bad idea. Currently I'm out of time, but if someone bumps this in like two weeks I can make that happen. And throw in a DoxBox-needing 0.8.0 as a bonus :P.
-
Yeah, I'll pester you about this in two weeks.

I have versions 0.9.8, 0.9.8.5, 0.9.8.9, 0.9.9.1, and every single one from then on, if someone needs them.

Hello,
I was trying to run DoomRL on Android through aDosBox without success.
¿Could you post the latest DOS version so I can give it a shot?
Thank you :)

"Latest" and "DOS version" doesn't work with DoomRL since quite a while back.
DoomRL is compiled for Windows/Mac/Linux.

Yeah I know. Right now, running Doomlr in my tablet is kind of a quest to me, to prove I can.
I've tried emulating a linux machine through limbo, but without success yet.
TRying with dosbox is another way I want to test...
