Title: [M|ArchAoPc|18%|25|YAVP] So apparently AoPc can use Hellwave packs for damage...

...and it's still not enough. Took JC to Wounded, but then, being a Pacifist, I somehow decided I wasn't allowed to attack the True Evil. Oh no, apparently it was all the Spider Mastermind's fault. This John Carmack guy... he must be innocent. I'll just sit idly by and let him kill me.

Found like 5 invulnerability globes on hell 7, but no nukes throughout the game. I was invulnerable for a very long time on 25, probably could have punched JC to death, but no such luck. Sadness.

This started as a Pacifism Angelic attempt(because the guy whose only diamond is the one that doesn't take skill should really be trying for Angelics, right?), but then something died and I decided to see if I could finish it anyway. I could - too bad I couldn't pull off my first full win =X

Don't forget you can go to the mortuary/limbo for a nuclear BFG.

Not the easiest place, of course, but considering how late it is, it's probably a good idea to go use some homing phase in, and get your chances for a full win.

Invulnerability globes on hell 6/7 are not that much rare :)

I'm clueless about most of the special levels... I'm aware of the nuclear BFG, but the thought didn't even cross my mind... I see the Mortuary/Limbo staircase, shudder, and look for the other staircase.

I've been in both a couple times by accident due to invulnerability or berserk, and both are terrifying.

Edit: Ok, so I've just tried the Mortuary, and... fuck the Mortuary. They don't ever stop coming. How many Arch-Viles are there...?

Edit2: Yep, fuck Limbo, too. These are both impossible.

That's what makes the feeling when you finally complete them so much sweeter... Ignore them for now (though if you have a homing phase, they are good for refreshment) and one day (not very far from now) you'll suddenly be able to do them.

Six (five on HNTR, seven on UV/N!). Bring something to thin out the corpses (the BFG from Spider's Lair/Halls of Carnage is a good choice). A homing phase doesn't hurt, either; it might land you next to the nuclear BFG.

Blood/fire/hatred skulls or a BFG shot are a good first move on arrival at the Mortuary. Lots of rockets and/or BFG shots will clear out the corpses, but be careful not to destroy the goodies in the corners. Similar tactics work in Limbo.

And don't forget that City of Skulls/Abyssal Plains has Hatred/Fire/Blood Skulls as a reward; very useful in Mortuary/Limbo.

Funnily enough, I also had the experience of nuking the Mastermind while invulnerable, only to find that I couldn't kill JC in an AoPc game.  Probably, everyone's done it once.  :P  (Hmm...  You're making me want to see if I can get a full win in AoPc!)  :D

Actually, my first AoPc win was a full win. I've managed to do it a couple of times. It depends on luck, obviously, and you usually have to sacrifice yourself to kill JC, but it can be done.

I dunno if we're going to fix the "dialogues" inherent in the special levels... it requires too much effort for too little effect.

We'll probably leave that in for the comedic effect, considering the Doom Comic exists already.
