Title: [M|Ao100|62%|YAVP] RNG is giving Dragonslayers away with Berserker Armour

This was meant to be an easy run with MSc to get a few missing assemblies - until I found the Dragonslayer (picked up the Berserker Armour a few floors earlier). Then I just berserked through the rest of the levels as fast as possible, killing as many Arch-Viles as I could (needed for my next rank) and got an unexpected surprise at the end of it:

Hmm, Apostle shows up on HNTR? Wonder why I never saw him on my 666 run, then. I assumed that maybe I needed to be Cyberdemon rank, but evidently that's not the case.

Would be really nice to know how to use those items... it's too bad they're treated with such secrecy. I'd prefer to just look it up on the wiki, but alas, it is not to be. At least the Apostle, who's presumably also a secret, can show up outside of his expected environment, and be killed... although maybe that's not intended, thus the error message you got.

I thought it must be intended, as it was on level 100, and I got a level feeling I hadn't seen before. No idea what the criteria for him appearing are though - I've never seen him before.

I've never seen him either.  I think it's reasonable to guess that he appeared because you were wielding Dragonslayer and wearing the Berserker Armour.  (Which I have yet to do)

Hmm, I have doubts about whether those are the conditions.

While it's true that, anytime I've seen a mortem with him, DS/BA have been present, in those mortems he also died all but instantly. One would think that, if he is a direct result of the player using those two items, he would at least provide a challenge...

(9d9)x2 + (whatever) is an average of around 80 damage a swing. There aren't monsters made that can withstand that kind of power.

Plus I was playing on AoMc, that a LOt of guaranteed damage :-)
