for those still unaware of the wiki: The DoomRL Wiki Pages

I have a request with regards to a page i can't edit: can Kornel Kisielewicz or Malek create a link in the Main Page to a page called 'Terminology' or something? The idea is to explain stuff like YASD and YAVP and whatever other terms that don't appear in the game itself but are used anyway.

come to think of it, i know what a YASD and a YAVP are, i just don't know the exact words that make up these acronyms.. i suspect D stands for Death and V stands for Victory, but everything else is a mystery to me 0.o

edit: also, create an account if you're gonna edit the wiki a lot.. yes, i'm talking about you, IP address 69.245.219.195 :P

Wheee thank you Malek! too bad i got plastered twice this weekend and somebody else beat me to filling it. Ah well, i found something to add anyway.

Message out to all experienced players! you got any idea for a strategy guide? i'm kinda out off inspiration right now. I know i radically change my startegy somewhere between level 10 and 13, but i'm not sure how to explain how and when i do this exactly...

BYW, Turgor - could you color "enemies" in wiki? You seem to do good with html colors ^^

yeah, if i find the time.. (hmm maybe now..)

but my guide is a bigger priority.. i figured i'd finish it the past weekend.. but friends and several (well, more than several) beers got in the way of that :)

hmm somehow i can't edit my post above.. so i have to double post :(

i updated enemy colours as far as i was 100% sure of them. got screenshots of more enemies, then send em to my email before i get them myself ;P (or just edit them yourself and get the glory! :D)

i may make a lot of screenshots, but i also delete too many >.<

edit: this weekend i will try to finish that strategy guide.. i got the ideas in my head, just not the time to write it out right now.

also, i wanted to let you know that finishing the guide will not be possbile, as it seems i have a meeting tomorrow (yes, on a sunday 0.o)

I've added as much as i could for now, and then looked at the recent changes.. what, am I the only one adding stuff lately? i'm sure there is more stuff to be added or corrected! So go to the wiki pages and help out!

Don't worry, once 0.9.9 comes out, I'm sure were gonna get some fresh blood, both here and on the wiki ^_^

About the wiki, that help page really needs protection, because it just got targeted by a bot that substituted the contents with lots of links.

Turgor -- as the attacks keep piling (and it will probably get worse), and you are the greatest contributor to both the Wiki and the Forum I give you Sysop priviledges on DoomRL Wiki.

but seriously, that will come in handy, as i check that wiki at least once a day, but most days more like 30 times :)

Hmmm ... it would really help if Kornel could make registration obligatory to edit wiki (I think he tried to do that but for some reason it didn't work)

Actually it wouldn't help much. The bots can auto-register. What would help is a registration with e-mail confirmation, but unfortunately that's not available in a standard mediawiki :-(. But I'll look into it once I have some free time (in a month or so? :'( )
