Didn't make it, but what a game... what a game!
I video'd the last level to see what tactics I missed.
First encounter from 0:40 for a minute before I got overrun, I jumped with the Hellstaff. Mowed down some lower demons with the assembled elephant gun.
Second encounter 3:00, for a minute. Anachnotrons ranged attacks got to me, I witched to missile launcher
At 5:00 I BFG'd a Baron of hell and Anachnotrons. That felt real good.
They kept on coming, last stand 7 mins in. Should've found cover, never face so many A's in the open.
Check out the graveyard.

I'm surprised I won, I played this one over the course of this week, a bit each day before work.
I _really_ wanted to blow the cyberdemon away with my dual pistol / Anti-freak Jackal combo. But with only 1 medkit I had to switch to the big guns to ensure victory!
Props to a fresh new version of doomrl, well done!

I tried downloading 2 weeks ago, about halfway into the download says it's complete, but the archive is corrupt. Each time it gets a different size file. Today I managed to get 7MB, the archive is still corrupt, but I managed to extract all but 1 file, storage.ogg (voices folder).
I tried with IE, Firefox and Chrome. It doesn't seem like the DL supports resume either, and the file size is unknown while downloading. Strange, since the DL speed is fine, not slow or hanging.

Thanks, I'll keep these in mind for next time. Badass is useful to stock up on health spheres, but I suspect you can't rely on that for harder difficulties. I'll try the Ironman tip.

I just have to post my first YAVP :)
I went straight for Army of the Dead, and then Triggerhappy near the end, hoping to find a plasma rifle at some point. I never did and should've grabbed one sooner. In the end the double shotgun was a treat, taking cover around corners cutting down Barons and Hell Knights at close range.
The Vaults were a bit of a mystery, I shot the walls expecting to break through, but I failed. Must be another trick to figure out.
I must say, the knocking of the Cyberdemon's heavy hooves gets your blood, and shotgun, pumping.

The Vaults were a bit of a mystery, I shot the walls expecting to break through, but I failed. Must be another trick to figure out.
I must say, the knocking of the Cyberdemon's heavy hooves gets your blood, and shotgun, pumping.

Taking the Cyberdemon down with pistols, great stuff! The Angelic armor looks pretty sturdy though, those hits you can't dodge are killers sometimes.

Well, I guess facing all those Barons on a first run, it's not too surprising I got sent down below. My armor got destroyed the previous turn, the attacks coming in not giving me a chance to switch to my backup armor. A phase device would've been very useful!
I went for the Gun Kata trait, running around guns-akimbo unloading hot lead into anything that moved. The stronger hell spawn were a bit too resilient for that, however.

Bug Reports / [0.9.9.1] (Linux) Missing mp3 files causes unexpected exit

This isn't anything major, but switching to mp3 music with any one of the mp3's missing, causes the game to exit before getting to the first screen. No error messages and nothing in the log. Just saying, in case anyone else has this issue. I haven't tried this on the Window version yet.

Hi everyone
I have a different take on this: When I play at work, during lunch breaks, I need to be able to stop mid-level sometimes, and minimizing isn't always an option.
I vote for an Exit option, it doesn't have to save the current level, I'm happy to redo the level. This would work together with an option that auto-saves when you walk down stairs.
That's my pov on it anyway, nice to meet you all!
