Discussion / Weapon Damage Mod Question

I tried to apply 4 Weapon Damage to my weapons but on the 4th, it says that it's been applied, but at the bottom right, it still says D3, instead of D4.
Does my weapon have bonus +4 dmg and the reading is wrong or is the reading right and I just wasted a mod?

I managed to find an Invulnurability Globe right before the Spider's Lair and yet, I managed to still die by the spiders. My HP still showed 100 HP but in the post-mortem, it showed 0 HP.
???
Also, in the Unholy Cathedral, did you make it so that you cannot fire a weapon?

How do you get this? Does it spawn randomly in a map or does it spawn randomly after killing a monster?
I made a save at level 18 so that I can try finding a nuke in level 19 to kill the Cyberdemon and JC.

I just started playing this game a few days ago. The first time I made it to the Cyberdemon, I was lucky enough to nuke him and live, thanks to the gloves.
I made it to JC but died after it crashed once. I faced JC many times but can only get his health down to about 40-50% before crashing. I used 4 charged Plasma Rifles and 1 BFG shot before it crashed.

On level 2 he battled through a maze of rooms.
Afterwards he fought on Hell's Arena.
On level 3 he battled through a maze of rooms.
On level 4 he battled through a maze of rooms.
He then stormed the Chained Court.
On level 5 he battled through a maze of rooms.
On level 6 he battled through a maze of rooms.
On level 7 he found a hellish city.
On level 8 he found hellish caves.
Afterwards he witnessed the Wall.
On level 9 he battled through a maze of rooms.
Afterwards he witnessed the Wall.
On level 10 he found hellish caves.
On level 11 he battled through a maze of rooms.
On level 12 he found hellish caves.
On level 13 he battled through a maze of rooms.
On level 14 he found hellish caves.
On level 15 he found a hellish city.

Then he found the City of Skulls.

Then at last he found the Phobos Arena.
There finally he defeated the Cyberdemon.

Before him 38 brave souls have ventured into Phobos:
22 of those were killed.
2 of those were killed by something unknown.
2 didn't read the thermonuclear bomb manual.
And 3 couldn't handle the stress and commited a stupid suicide.
Some rumours though, say that the Cyberdemon was killed already!
Is he immortal? 9 souls claim to have killed him...
6 sacrificed itself for the good of mankind.
3 showed that it can outsmart hell itself.
