Nano-packed rocket launcher? Is this possible? Pair it with dodgemaster and you're an untouchable demolition man! That would be something to impress the ladies!

The Cyberdemon fires! You dodge! Boom!
You use a large med-pack. You feel fully healed. The Cyberdemon reloads his

You reload the BFG 9000 with power cell. The Cyberdemon fires! You are hit!

-- General ---------------------------------------------------

Before him 246 brave souls have ventured into Phobos:
 203 of those were killed.
1 of those was killed by something unknown.
13 didn't read the thermonuclear bomb manual.
And 11 couldn't handle the stress and committed a stupid suicide.

Some rumours though, say that the Cyberdemon was killed already!
Is he immortal? 18 souls claim to have killed him...
9 sacrificed itself for the good of mankind.
9 killed the bastard and survived.

HR x2 EE x2 INT x2 is what I consider the best build to get this badge. The reason I post this mortem is that I was surprised Game Hunter did not mention Intuition in his Badges Guide (which is an awesome piece of writing nonetheless). Intuition makes this badge a piece of cake. Its 1st level reveals the location of powerups, two of which (Invulnerability globe and computer map) are very useful. Its second level shows you the position of enemies, which allows you to plan your route better. It is also the best guarantee you won't end up with a stray lost soul/demon in a remote part of the level. The run seemed more difficult for me at the beginning than after I took Int2.

Quartermaster platinum attempt. One more second and I would have run away with that BFG.

Discussion / Re: Help moving from ITYTD to HNTR?
« on: September 05, 2010, 16:46 »
To see Game Hunter's advice in practice, here are some runs you can watch on youtube to get a grip on basic tactics.

HNTR
Code: [Select]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcxtOzjuJzc
HMP (the player does the Arena here, although not all of it)
Code: [Select]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oua0VgI9ZlM&feature=related
Nightmare AoC (great exemplar of tactics in a hardcore environment:))
Code: [Select]
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9TjcZrNa8rs&feature=related
Notice how the player positions himself and how he targets enemies he cannot see.

Requests For Features / Missing quotes for traits
« on: September 04, 2010, 15:33 »
I noticed that some traits do not have quotes as others do. I presume Kornel couldn't find anything suitable for them. Below are my propositions for these quotes, just for the sake of uniformity.

Army of the Dead
A fistful of boomstick

Fireangel
'I love the smell of napalm in the morning'

Blademaster
'I'm gonna fight. The only way I know how. Ever since I was a boy, all I knew was how to fight. Fight, fight, fight. And when I got tired, I would fight some more.'

OR
"Faster, pussycat! Kill! Kill!'

Dodgemaster
'Can't touch me'

Most of the quotes are taken from films. However, I can't think of anything that would fit Ammochain. Maybe somebody else will have a nice idea.
