Treat it as an oddly shaped stack of 60 cells and move on, fair enough.

Congrats on going diamond!
I don't see anything wrong with that assembly choice, tac boots are useful all game whereas the armor gets riskier as the monsters start hitting harder.

Discussion / Charch's Null Pointer, is it ever worth using?
« on: April 14, 2019, 22:10 »
Recently Charch's Null Pointer has shown up quite a bit for me.
After many experiments I can tell that it's effect is to mess with the game's calculation of turn order delaying the target's next turn but it never seems to give enough time to even swap to another weapon and shoot more than once. Perhaps if I ever decide to waste traits on juggler it might give me the chance to perm-stun a single target while shooting it with a real weapon but the pointer only holds 6 shots, is this thing ever worth the effort?

There's some issues with the special level section, kinda feels like it hasn't been updated in several versions.
Plate armor was actually rather sweet but it became the tower shield once shields were introduced.

Unfortunately console mode isn't an option for me anymore as I cannot full screen it and playing in a 2X3 inch window isn't viable... (I hate windows 8.1)

Even after all these years there's one badge series that I find to be complete bullshit, the 'Speedrunner' series.
My average win in this game is around 3-4 hours and even the bronze asks for it to be done in 30 minutes, any suggestions on how to pickup the pace without getting killed?

General Discussion / Re: Game Engine
« on: January 25, 2017, 01:24 »That procedurally generated games can be absolutely awful has been proven far before NMS ;) One example would be Spore, but there are several others. For something to be truly bad it needs to have had the potential to be truly good.

I skipped the wall because I forgot the plasmatic shotgun mod used a sniper and not a nano.
This would have been 100% but I walked into the cathedral be accident due to a zerk pack...
I had very odd luck with mod packs this run, no less than 4 firestorm packs, 2 onyx packs, and 3 sniper packs.

nope, the gun took it just fine with the normal message and this AoSh is now the 'proud' owner of a "shotgun (8d3) [1/1] (S1)".
edit: Damn, I completely forgot the changed that assembly to use a sniper pack instead of a nano, had I remembered it would have gotten me through the wall...

Really dumb question from a returning player, does a sniper mod do anything at all on a shotgun? I don't think it does but just asking for confirmation.
