That's true. So do you mean by this that DoomRL by default will try and save data to the installation folder, and it will either be there or in the VirtualStore if DoomRL didn't have permission to write?

Sorry if this has been asked before / is documented elsewhere.

I am running DoomRL 0.997 on my Windows 7 machine. I see that it has installed to Program Files. Where is saved data stored? By which I mean both actual saved games and my history, controls, etc. Is this somewhere in the main installation, or is it separated out it, say, AppData or somewhere else?

I want to be able to back up my saved data easily.
