I think the Vampyre description lacks the information that the enemy from which we gain +3 HP MUST be hit in meele. It's kind of obvious but in the description of Swordmaster there IS such info.

An acid barrel pushed into lava / acid (I don't remember) exploded like it was an oil one.

According my build: if in the moment of choosing the third trait you have combat shotgun and you haven't double shotgun I advice you to choose second TaN instead of second Reloader, it's more useful because you don't need to reload so much. Badass is nothing on UV or N!.

Other tips: use running wisely, set your character so that you can shoot as many monsters you can in one shot. For hell knights and alike shooting from the corner is especially effective. If you are standing next to A or commandos remember to shoot at them so that they have a wall by their backs, else they will be pushed by the shots and then make a salad out of you with plasma. Watch out with shooting near barrels, you can hurt yourself or loose a globe \ item. Plan on N! or H, even if UV AoS isn't harder than N! it's definitely more boring.

Some offtopic: could someone remind me the name of the program recordng .dm2 movies from the game? Can't find it.

Hm, i think i do play quite well but with as many trying as on N! I didn't manage to get myself even to Phobos Hell on UV (still talking about AoS, of course, but this issue affects for example AoB, too).

With 3xIro and 3xTaN CB was taking me about 30% life per shot, it seemes that his damage rose as well as the HP. When i died he was severely wounded, if I had been more careful in the beginning with shooting him from the corners I would do it...

Other interesting facts:
-done Hell Arena with a normal Shotgun
-thanks for Invulnerablity globe found quite near the stairs to The Mortuary i managed to clear the whole left side of it (never saw a bigger DoomRL slaughter before, and this was with a double shotgun, not some lame BFG ;) )
-UV should be made easier, not only on AoSg N! is much more passable than UV. I propose to add +50% globe and pack duration/strength.

Very nice mode, not so hard as AoB but unlike AoB it's not a stupid lottery on the first levels, just good fight all the time. And it was needed only 8 characters to finish it. With such damage, toHit and good tactics it was quite easy to clear most of the levels so the name Max Carnage is adeuqate. And playing this I really felt that my fate is in my hands :D

Killed just a few steps from the stairway to PH:10. I thought that PH:10 is the CB level (in fact it's PH:11, isn't it? Wiki says it's PH:5 :P) so I didn't run there at once which I was supposed to do. Anyway, I'm satisfied. Despite this character was doing much worse than my old N! AoB winner (41% in comparision to 62%) it gave me alot of fun (and took alot of time, 100-200 characters died before this one could go as far). Maybe he could manage it if large healing globes would really work as berserk packs (they don't - BUG), I found so many of them by the end. I couldn't enter Unholy Cathedral because an arch-vile destroyed an Invulnerability globe situated a few steps from the stairs but well, worse things could happen :)

I recorded a demo but it includes some previous games, is there a possibility to cut it leaving only this char?

Playing AoB on N! is so great fun that there should be done something for making it more accessible. I mean playing the levels before The Chained Court is boring, stressing and disheartening. And there isn't much thinking, even for a perfect player it's too much matter of luck. I know it's N! and it must be evil-hard but the further levels are hard enough and much more interesting. So here's my proposition: tune this mode a bit so th

at 2 or 3 times more characters would be able to reach The Chained Court. Giving the char 2 more med-packs or a homing phase device on the beggining or placing TCC always on PB:4 would do the trick.

Congratulations, man. First of all for the cold blood on level 5 and at the moments when your Berserk was turning off :) And recordig this was a great idea. I remembered this N! challenge as a boring survival lottery which at some point (getting into constant Berserk state) turns into most exciting DooomRL entertainment I ever had, the demo reminded me those moments.

Also good to know that N! AoB is still passable. Since Berserker became one level trait I was afraid it's not but it seems that longer (?) duration of Berserk recompensates lower chance per hit of falling into this state. BTW, anyone knows how precisely the weapon damage affects this chance?

EDIT: Well, with all this chainsaw modifying and knife throwing stuff it it may be even more passable then before. IMO that's a positive thing :)

Just how it seems resonable to get experience for a monster stepping in lava? It's good how it is - You kill it, You get the bonus, the monster kills itself == no bonus. Simple as it is ;-).

It's as same reasonably as getting exp from monsters being killed by other monsters.

Nah, they're as usual as at the other difficulties I think. It's just harder to find them, with such amount of monsters picking up things and firing item-destructing bolts. A note about generating an unique, apart from this about picking it up, would be useful (t. ex. "On level 15 he missed out on the Jackhammer.").
