-- General ---------------------------------------------------

Before him 56 brave souls have ventured into Phobos:
 56 of those were killed.

--------------------------------------------------------------

That's right, read it right, 56 deaths.  Most of them were from the big yellow A, but I finally figured out how to beat them (run for the stairs!!).

After I managed to beat the spider lair, ended up with 2 BFG's  (carry more plasma that way and less reload).  BFG twice on the big C, switch to second BFG and fire a few more times, hit a +, reload and fire a few more times...

It was strangely satisfying to win for the first time.  This game has to go to my top 5 best games ever made.

and I hope to see sequels!

I dont think this will ever get "sequel", but simply load of addition :D

Everyone can do it but me I guess :( I have too much problem with the rocket launcher. Im not even sure I will ever complete the game because of this.

Anyway, happy for you :P Im sure I got 200+ deaths, but I didn't bothered waiting everytime... oh well...

Congratulations! :-)

He faced The Wall.

Have you completed it?

advanced rocket launcher (4d5) [1/1]

Guess that answers my question :-D.

On level 18 he found a hellish city.
Then he ventured into the Spider's Lair.

Just before the final showdown... You got a lot of hellish cities this game.

You could have overcharged one ^_^

As Jake pointed out there will be additions instead of sequels. Two that might interest you most are 1) difficulty levels (greater challenge) and a more complex "dungeon"... actually to give off a secret I'll tell you that Phobos will be completely redesigned and I play with the idea of adding Mars, Deimos and Hell...

I had an advanced combat shotgun too (6d4), but I had to drop it last level when I ran out of shells!  (ammo gets tough late game, except rockets which are hard to use)

So... what's up with this overcharge deal  :>

These toys rule IMHO :-]

Try the alternative reload (capital 'R') :-P. Warning : the weapon will be destroyed in that process.

Yes, but, in many cases, weapon destruction is no hair of my head ;)

Advanced combat shotgun:  Higher damage means you might kill him with the first shot so no return fire while you shoot second

Extended combat shotgun:  If you don't kill on the first shot you'll probably get hit.  But less reload time so being surrounded by alot of baddies means it probably works better.

(although after about lvl 10 the combat shotgun doesn't seem to cut it, and have to switch to higher damage output of chaingun or doubleshotty)

Lategame(lvl 15+) I start clearing rooms wall by wall using rocket launchers/acid barrels, and take em out long range with rockets/chaingun.  If I have to enter a room, I ready my bfg for close combat (yeah funny, I know, but I never find healthpacks because I blow em up so much).  This kind of gameplay leaves little for salvage though...  But I hoard the lategame ammo so much that I have a bag full of rockets and plasma...
