Funny : Google Search Queries
« on: February 12, 2006, 13:46 »

It is not a secret, that most servers store the search queries that led people to them. I recently took a look on the search strings that led people to chaosforge.org and it's subdomains (most notably doom.chaosforge.org and doomforum.chaosforge.org). Some of the queries were so hilarious, that I wanted to share them with you :-). Here are the best ones IMHO (format #rank hits percentage searchstring):

Jan 2006:
#7    3    2.59%    10mm ammunition
#8    2    1.72%    6d3 gun
#9    2    1.72%    bfg9000
#10    2    1.72%    doomrl difficult
#11    2    1.72%    how levers help work
#15    1    0.86%    10mm ammo
#17    1    0.86%    angband inventory
#18    1    0.86%    bb chaingun
#20    1    0.86%    deathes from acid

Feb 2006:
#5    5    3.82%    thermonuclear bomb
#7    2    1.53%    ammo reloading tricks
#8    2    1.53%    bfg 9000
#9    2    1.53%    doom christian allegory
#12    2    1.53%    plasma rifle tricks
#13    1    0.76%    10mm ammo
#14    1    0.76%    bilateral thinking puzzles
#17    1    0.76%    combat shotgun forum
#19    1    0.76%    doom as a christian allegory

Vote on your favourite! ^_^

How levers help work? That one hardly makes sence... unless they ment how levers help in workplace situations, which brings up point 2. Why did they click a doomRL forum link if that's the only thing they could be searching for?

Deaths from acid? I didn't know people researched that... O_o

Some Lybian Terrorists are searching for a mad scientest to build them a bomb, Little do they know the scientist will instead build a time machine and because of said time machine they will shoot the scientist, Who will actually be wearing a bullet proof vest because he had invented the time machine.

In short - I dont know

Now that's thinking ahead.

10mm ammo also sounds a little weird. If you want to buy ammo, go to ebay. They sell everything from air guitars to babies.

babies.

No kidding?

You can actually sell babies on Ebay?

But for the love of me, I cannot figure out why chaosforge.org and its subsidiaries would be found by someone searching "Angband Inventory"

Well that was exaggerating, but the air guitar part is true.

I heard a rumor that someone sold a child on ebay...

Note to self: Google for "funny ebay auctions"

EDIT: No, they don't sell babies. But maybe you'll be interested in a certificate of good karma? (Can't use link for some reason, just search Ebay for it)

Guy sold his best friend a while ago on Ebay

and someone sold their soul a long time ago (supposedly he died in a car accident the next day)

and the infamous kidney

Oh, and most people don't know it but people were selling shuttle heat plates from the shuttle that went down over Texas.  The government was removing them as quickly as they came up, but Farkers got a lot of links and saved em so... yeah

Quoted for Emphasis

How to make $300 dollars a day:

1. Make a female character in WoW
2. Sell cyber for 15 bucks an hour
3. Make 300 bucks because you could easily find 20 ****ing pervs a day.

You could make 1000 a day if it there was a modification which allowed you to have no underp... *shot*

*I come back to life and see an angry man with a shotgun*

*Long pause*

*I decide to get back on topic*
