Monster delay on level one
« on: November 10, 2010, 01:37 »

Is there any way we can get a 4 second delay on the first floor?  It would only really affect a few challenges.  I'm getting tired of dieing before I can move twice in N! AoPc (damn sargents).

It's only significant on AoH, AoPc, and Ao100, when you can start in a place where enemies do as well. As it stands, we already get the same bonus any time we enter a new floor and all the monsters are frozen.

I can't say there's a particular reason for it, either. It seems to me that the player initialization was supposed to match up with other monsters', but instead it's a second too long. At the very least, it's something (hopefully quick) to look into and fix up.

It may only affect a few modes but it's truly unfair, spawning is a room of lost souls is bad enough on level 2 but on level 1 you might as well quit and try again...
