I played Scout (easy difficulty, as far as I know now). Initial hunt for ammo went OK, and I gradually pushed to level 5, with the game becoming easier.
I was pretty scared of uncertainity, looked for RPG some of which that I left on lower levels but was too stubborn to go down, but didn't find one. M56 didn't feel good enough, shooting the same rifle ammo. Well, had to go with it.

First I pumped Sidearms, couple of times switching to .44 Colt, but I was incessantly running out of .44 ammo, even when killing a Warrior with two shots. I ended up going to the top with half-stocked Colt and M41A (I had felt I'd be sorry about incomplete ammo, and I was), and being unsure if M56 Smartgun is enough.
When finding no connection from Medical tower to Main, I discovered that it's probably only so many levels - not 10, 20 or 50 which I expected too. I was suffering a radiation damage (it's now I know what it was) - used about 15 medipacks there to max health back up from 73 to 80+.

On the top, it went no harder then on ordinary elevator to a new floor. Smartgun turned out to be OK and fully stocked, krak and inc grenades worked fine. On a rush down, I had to use M56 as other weapons ran out of ammo. There was one unpleasant moment with 2 praetorians and a, huh, hunter? in a main corridor, but krak grenade helped me out. Kraks are so damn amazing, you can throw them even under your feet, and they will precisely rip only those whom you need to.

Final titles are great :) Hoping for AliensRL 2.

That's a really nice win!  So far, I've not had much luck with AliensRL, but now there is a more recent example of a viable strategy that I can try.

We'll see how we can push AliensRL up to the next level, when the dev-team gets to it.  ;-)

Thanks! I don't feel I found any new strategy, rather going the easiest way that everybody knows of - Scout-Sidearms-pump up-kill the Q letter.
Before, I played about 30 ten-minute games dying in the beginning all the time, but after reading forums a little - it felt like cheating - I managed to build up. Things really get easier then.

And yes, I'd love to continue, though don't feel that replaying will add much new experience.

Very sorry to see no development in the last year. There are some ideas in this forum that would strengthen game atmosphere greatly - like eggs, broken walls, FoV or panic.
