Its been a long while since I played. So long that I've had to start from scratch on my medals. After flubbing numerous AoMr and UV attempts I decided to return to my comfort zone of HMP and blow my way through. The major break for this run came when I found the Laser Rifle. After that everything died like it was nothing.
Approaching UC I decided to test the waters as I had a piercing Chainsaw, 2 ranks of SoB and 4 Large Medkits...it was NOT enough. I cleared the trash and decided to let sleeping demons lie and left forever abandoning my YAAM run.
Limbo was an interesting beast. I entered with Invuln and destroyed everything on the starting platform. I then just shot blindly into the sides for a while before dropping the bridges. Also found out that flipping the second lever for each bridge removes all the corpses from that bridge.
The run almost ended on Floor 23 as I started, unbeknownst to myself, on the other side of the wall from a Revenant, a Mancubi and an Archvile. I used one of my Homing Phase Devices and back tracked to kill them from a safer angle.
So to my surprise I found that you can't Homing Phase directly from the entrance of Dis to the exit after nuking the level. It made me worried when I went to kill JC but thankfully as it turned out, T1 High Powered Laser Rifles w/ Ammochain are crazy good.
