A Mac version?
« on: July 31, 2007, 20:13 »

I haven't played DoomRL in two years, and was just thinking about it today. Excited I'd remembered it, I quickly Googled which led me here. I was disappointed to find only Windows binaries, as I have since switched to the Mac platform. Any chance of some DoomRL action for us bloodthirsty macusers?

Kornel needs to have access to a Mac before he can make a Mac version. :P

Though AIR he did get access to something that'd let him develop for the Mac recently... he still will need time to make it happen.

I second the motion. Though you can always use boot camp or parallels to run the linux version (or windows if you have a licensed copy). I'm using boot camp at the moment. Works fine except for some crashes (illegal execution) during level changes.

Well, just keep in mind that those newer Macs have an intel CPU. So you should bring two versions of the game, one for the "old" PowerPC and one for intel.
Good thing is that it shouldnt be too hard to make a Mac OSX version after know how to compile it on Linux :)
