Difficulty level obviously, because im terribly bad and I need to practice myself on something easier :P

What about new monsters? I was sure they would be in this version :(

Actually, the thing i'm most awaiting is monster AI that defeats Cat Eye abuse now that i think of it.. i can choose not to get it, but it is still such a temptation when i try to kill the Cyberdemon right now..

I voted challenge modes because those will be fun,fun,FUN ... but I also need difficulty levels ... and I need them BADLY ^^'

I can't decide (but I eventualy dicided challenge mdoes), I might vote again for useful melee (oxymoron?)

EDIT: Whoops! Turns out I can't. Oh well.

No -- just a simple change, that if a monster get's hit out of it's sight radius it will start seeking your position and not wandering as if nothing happened ;-).

Just out of curiosity, is there a "fastwalk" command?  Sometimes it can be a bit annoying to have to walk across an entire level (after you've cleared it out).  You either have to hold down the move key and risk getting reamed by the one or two enemies you missed, or tap 50 times in a row. ;)

actually, that is how I cane across it too...
anothertime when i was trying to play like other rougelikes, i just left ADOM and booted RL and forgot that standing there doesn't heal you, and i got killed

After re-thinking the thing that I could use the most would be "Color fix" Kornel said once here or on the wiki (don't remember) ... Rason? I have Riva TNT 2 - it makes the screen DAMN DARK - I can't see dark red on black bacground -_-"

I've got a Riva TNT 2 too, but i can see the dark red just fine on black. Maybe if you adjust the gamma you can see things better?
Untill recently i had another problem though, that red and orange looked the same to me, but this got solved when i used another monitor.

What OS are you using? If a standard WinXP console then you can choose console properties, and manualy adjust the colors by yourself.
