My 32nd ever game of DoomRL (about half of the first 31 having been short-lived challenges) and finally old Cybie goes down. 0.9.8.7 is the only version I've played, and naturally no savescumming. To all you other YAVPers, how many games did you play (counting all versions) before you got your first win? Ok, I don't think my win was much of an achievement but I'm still curious!

Don't remember as I got rid of my 0.9.8.5 files when 0.9.8.7 came out, and my 0.9.8.7 files have been getting periodically deleted by some record deleting glitch that I hope is fixed for the next version. According to my current files, it was my fifth game and on Medium, but I don't think that's entirely accurate. :-P

EDIT: According to This Topic I died 13 time before my first win, which was on 0.9.8.5 with Easy difficulty.

Also, could we bring back the summary-for-every-level in the next version of DoomRL? It made your accomplishments seem much more significant.

To all you other YAVPers, how many games did you play (counting all versions) before you got your first win?

First version of DooMRL i had played was 0980(IIRC. It was version right before 0985)). And i had approximately 100 deaths before my first win. DooMRL was the first roguelike, so it took time for me to understand their rules.)

Me ? It took around three times. But I was playing rougelikes before DoomRL. And I was playing on ITYTD...

I lost count. Oh wait, i suffered a biting loss of about 213 times before i FINALLY finished it on ITYTD.
Embarresing i know.
But i played the version before this one... Plus this, it should add upp to something like that.
I never finished the game on the previous version, never even got as long as to hell.

Yes, my first RL game i play... But still :P
