As for the mortem faking, I also thought about that before this post, then forgot.
I thought of something similar to what just Kornel said, sneaking up information into the mortem for authenticity check, some code that can be verified or whatever. As the post was just an idea I didn't yet think of some particular solution, since it would be waste of time if the thing isn't acknowledged. But I am sure someone would came up with working solution. I don't see any reasons it could not be in game, since you wouldn't have to play with this option anyway. Like the name says, it is just the option. But I am sure you would find some benefits if you have some second thoughts on the topic.
