Well, I might suck at DoomRL, but I still play it a lot. I generally favour shotgun run-throughs, maybe a chaingun. It's rare that I find anything notable, and when I do it usually doesn't fit my traits well.
Not this time, though!

ADVANCED DOUBLE SHOTGUN ON LEVEL 6!!!1

Yes, this is exactly what I want to see on my first ever Angel of Marksmanship run, thanks a lot, excuse me while I hold back the tears of joy RAGE.

Rage eh. A recent one was on my AoI run. When I enter the level it displays the "unique is here" message. Next room to the right, the turn I enter, I catch a brief glimpse of a bright green coloured unique weapon right beside me in the corner... as well as a cacodemon bolt which hits me, and vaporises the unique next to me. I didn't even get to find out which unique it was, heh.

Another would be the game where I got trigun on about lvl 12 I think, then anti-freak jackal on the very next level. It was an AoB game.

RNG spoilt me putting Anti-Freak Jackal on one of my AoM runs (already dead) on level 2.

Then he made fun out of me making dozens of AoM marines die in one turn thanks to many ambushes: insta killed by Barons, Commandos, Mancubis, etc. Nothing can't beat the situation that on one turn you are alive with near-full HP (and do not see any enemy) and on the following turn you have them negative....

Add to that so many Miniguns, Assault Shotguns, Advanced Rocket Launchers, Fastload Launchers and other hi-tech Chaingun-Shotgun-BFG-like goodies, that it is even hard to remember their names.

And when I changed to AoB I almost instantly got tons of Damage Mod on level 2 :( .

I have never, ever, ever seen a minigun when I can use it. I get one on almost every AoMr and shotty run, though.

My biggest rage story?
Well, to become a Major, all I still have to do now is winning an AoPurity challenge; where I almost never succeed in.
Although there was one try that went very good. I was on level 24 already had very good stats and much large medpacks, I was ready for the Cybie battle. There was a space where I saw another medpack which would be very useful for the big battle BUT... there seemed to be a lava space under it. My HP was about 15% and I had no boots.

AAARGH!!!!!!11 >>>=(((

Really, I think I was so angry that I simply didn't want to see that game again for like 2 months...


EDIT: Or did I see a cell? I don't remember it correctly. But I do remember it would've been very useful...
EDIT2: And yes, I STILL have to complete the @&§$ing challenge... =P

Mine is synonimous with the words boots. And gothic. So gothic boots, than.
Because nothing beats spending a king's arsenal of ammo, armor and medkits trying to get to the end of the Lava Pits only to find some useless boots. Really unforgetable experiance it was, really.

You know, I think Kornel should implement a compartiment in Player.dat which gives a list of all uniques you've discovered so far, and eventually how many you've collected yet...
Then at least we have te feeling we've actually achieved something if we find a Railgun on AoMr! =)

Although the extra rule should be that the item must be in our inventory when we win/die.
