Before him 557 brave souls have ventured into Phobos:
 476 of those were killed.
6 of those were killed by something unknown.
And 71 couldn't handle the stress and committed a stupid suicide.

Some rumours though, say that the Cyberdemon was killed already!
Is he immortal? 4 souls claim to have killed him...
1 sacrificed itself for the good of mankind.
2 killed the bastard and survived.
1 showed that it can outsmart hell itself.

At very last, after something like 100 tires, I've managed to win. 4 success with one game- first pistol build win, first AoLT win, first Hurt Me Plenty Win, first challenge beaten.

*Nice number, isn't it?
**Defensive traits are what made this game possible- if I would go on my standard EE build, it would end somewhere around level 18
***Best unique I know. Self-rechargeable (though I've managed to empty it once:P) and incredibly fast.
****At a price of slowing you down a little (and I've HR anyway), they render you liquid-proof
*****Wow, more dead arachs than former capitans...
******I've never feared those guys before, but after meeting them in pack of six, plus two companion viles, I've changed my mind
*******Thinking of how vile RNG can be by not spawning a unique in Armoury and then running into lava instead of stairs was nearly fatal.
********Halls of Carnage saved my life- overloaded BFG brought peace and love to Barons/Arachs/Viles mix on level 24.

Must say, that this game was lucky, very lucky indeed. However, deeper hell on HNTR is nothing compared to deeper hell ond HMP. I simply was not preprepared to BoHs packs, Mancubus packs, Viles packs etc.

And greater honour is well due to them
when they foresee (and many of them foresee)
that in the end Ephialtes will appear,
that after all the Persian shall break through.

I'd hazard to guess that the Blaster made an even bigger difference in your AoLT game, since you didn't need to devote precious inventory space to ammo.

Tough as nails is rather nice for survival, isn't it?  I've found that it especially puts the damper on damage from captains, commandos, and arachnotrons.

Mancubi are really scary up close - you could get hit by all three shots.  And they wreck havoc on anything useful you might have considered picking up.

I've actually never even considered overloading the BFG before - once again it's something I have start doing, where appropriate.  Another trick in the bag to aid survival in the grimmest of situations.
