Heading away from the stairwells, the scenery once more became far less interesting, just the occasional closed office door among the narrow corridors. There wasn't any sign of fighting, but the floor plates seemed scarred with lots of tiny dents in them, perhaps claw marks or something of the sort. Whether they actually were claw marks or not, though, the march through the tower passed uneventfully, and soon you found yourself crossing over the skybridge to the Engineering tower. While otherwise structurally sound, the floor here bore many more of those claw marks you'd seen along the way.
Once inside the Engineering Tower, it was a simple matter to find more guide stripes, pointing the way to the Storage Tower, the Security Tower (from which you just came) and this tower's elevators. The tower itself seemed far less intended for human habitation - the corridors were cramped, with barely enough room to stand, and lined with cables and pipes. It was also very, very silent.
Moving on, you eventually find your way to the tower's stairwells, thankfully free of bodies. Climbing down, you eventually reach the lowest level of the tower, in itself actually set two levels below ground. There was little of interest here, in fact most of the level was a massive support network for the generators proper located above, but this was the most immediate accessway to the generators' inner workings. It was, therefore, a cause for some concern when you came upon the rather heavy door that should've sealed the way inside, and found it partially decayed, partially torn open, and most certainly not sealing anything any more.
On the bright side, there were no leaks, loose wires, pools of liquid or clouds of gas that might indicate the generators themselves were seriously damaged.
