I downloaded the DoomRL version with sounds, but all its says is that one or two files are missing and refuses to go any further than that, i looked in the folder and the files was there, but the game refuses to read them >.<

Do you have a list of the files in your DoomRL folder? Maybe you are missing some, and we'll be able to tell you which ones.

Or I could post mine and check if you have them.

DoomRL folder:

Doom.prc
DoomRL.bat
DoomRL.exe
DoomRL.ini
DoomRL.wad
fmod.dll
Score.dat (I think this isn't needed to run it)
4 .txt files.

Music folder:

Exactly 21 music files, and 2 text files.

Wav folder:

67 odd sound effects.

Check if you have them all, if you do, I'm stumped.

Try two tings:

1) run the game again a few times

If that doesn't work:

2) edit the doomrl.ini and set Sounds and Music to false.

And tell me if the problem still is valid.

I had such a situation -- there's something wrong with FMOD I'm afraid :-(. In the next version I'll substitute FMOD for SDL_mixer tough (I will need to use SDL for graphics somewhere in the future anyway).

Lets see here... yep, unfortunally i do have them all :/ Oh BTW Kornel (if i'm allowed to call you that :) i tried what you said, the problem isn't valid if you turn of the sound and music, though i really wanted to enyoj it with sound and all :( i guess i just have to be patient like everyone else for the new version :)
