Forlorn Hope - PBF

Xander Morhaime:
Sadly, this time Roshal's shots failed to find their mark.

Natiliana:
Picking her mark once more, Ira unleashes a burst at the servo-mech; quietly wondering how much more the bugger could take.

Xander Morhaime:
Apparently, not much more. The servomech practically fell apart when the burst of fire slammed into it, the sensor pod knocked off its mount spewing sparks and smoke.

Things were quiet again. As an added bonus, the guards had come out through one of the key-locked doors in the east wall... and didn't close it behind them. You couldn't see much past it for the smoke, though you could make out a safety railing in the room beyond.

Silhar:
Mad jumped out from behind his cover, thinking forward to gun the mech down. Seeing the machine unfunctional and smoking on the floor, he let his weapon down, not pulling the trigger. For a while he seemed suprised.
"Good shootin', Ira.", he commented, smiling. "Now, let's put bloody BlastPacks in their rightful places and proceed forward, eh ? Those fellows seem to be almost endless."
Saying this, he collected weapons of fallen ones, securing them and putting into his bag, shoving them behind his belt or else. "Just in case somebody could overcome the gene-lock..."

"Come on, Roshal, clock's ticking."

thelaptop:
"Yeah, let's head out," Roshal replied as he switched his weapon to safety and put it away before following Matt back to where they were heading before the great shoot-out.
