I pulled this off not too long after my AoMr run, forgot to post, then realized that I have a mortem archive! Angel of Haste run that was loads of fun. Relied mostly on pistols with a little bit of help from whatever else I could find. Eventually made it to the Cyberdemon, but he proved too strong for me. That's OK, though, because the nuke was too much for the both of us! First successful Angel of Haste run and first partial victory. The BFG, Rocket Launcher, and Plasma Rifle did their best, but the pistols really kept me going.
After a successful AoMr run and then relying on pistols largely for this run, I really have to ask how damn good pistols can be. I used to love shotguns, but now pistols are like perfect murder machines, barring spawning in a room full of Arachnotrons.
