The Master and the Minion - IC Thread

Tavana:
Saliak glanced over towards the goblins crowding around Aden. The spacing might be just right... His eyes close and he pulls upon his inner resolve. If he had any hair on his body, it would be standing on end.

"Bahumat sends his greetings, Goblins..."

Spoiler (click to show/hide)Minor: Dragon Breath (lightning) at C8-E10.
Attack Rolls: C10: 1d20+7=24 D10: 1d20+7=13 (VS Reflex)
Damage Roll: 1d6+2=5
Move: to E8.
Standard: Flames of Purity at B9-D11.
Attack Rolls: C10: 1d20+8=17 D10: 1d20+8=11 (VS AC)
Damage Roll: 1d10+5=10
Staying Rune of Protection State.

Aden should gain 3 HP.

Malek Deneith:
- Give 'em hell kitty-cat! - drow shouted upon seeing Ma'Kirr massacre firethrowers then turned back to closer threats - there was an occasion for taking another stab at the problem. Maby even two...

Spoiler (click to show/hide)Move Action: to E9
Standard Action: Sly Flourish on D10. Attack (1d20+11=28) vs AC. Hit: Damage (1d8+9=12).
Free Action: Sneak Attack (2d6=11) at D10

IF the target somehow survived:

Minor Action: Low Slash on D10. Attack (1d20+11=27) vs Reflex. Hit: Damage (1d8+9=12) (bonus damage due to flanking included), slide the target to E10 and he's slowed until end of my next turn.

If the target died before my turn because of Salik's attacks:
-Move is to D9 not E9, target is C10
-Sly Flourish is 26 vs AC
-There is no Sneak Attack :(
-Low Slash is 25 vs Reflex, deals only 8 damage and I won't slide

Xander Morhaime:
The impaled red goblin thrashed on the end of a spear for a moment before the fire that seemed to burn within it got out, incinerating the creature in a flash of light and heat. Not a pleasant sensation for someone holding said goblin on the end of a stick, but nothing harmful at least. All that remained of the creature was a few cinders, and a tiny fiery-red sphere of light that hovered on the point of the spear for a moment before dropping off to the floor below.

By that time, of course, the other goblin had been kicked off the ledge and slammed against the pillar, sliding down - the flames overtook it as well, leaving a charred stain along the pillar and another of the fiery spheres on the floor below. Ma'Kirr might notice there was a third such sphere near the top of the stairs - no doubt left over from the firethrower Ryltar had slain.

Saliak's efforts did not have the desired result, however. Perhaps Bahamut was looking the other way that time. The lightning breath arced towards the pike of the healthier of the two brown goblins, giving it a nasty shock, but not much in the way of serious damage. The fire blast that came immediately after only singed their armour. They'd just begun to yell something insulting at the Dragonborn when Ryltar's blow caught the already weakened minion's throat, sending it sprawling to the ground. A few moments later it shared the fate of its companions, the only trace of it being an off-yellow sphere of light hovering a little off the floor.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)Ma'Kirr (over)kills the Firethrowers at A4 and B4.
Saliak misses quite badly, but does score 5 damage on the healthier phalanx soldier and heals Aden for 3 points (21 remaining).
Ryltar finishes off the weakened phalanx soldier in D10 with an impressive display of overkill.

Gargulec:
'Wondrous work, servants of Light!' exclaims Tristan, while pointing his blade in the direction of one of the remaining brownies. 'I challenge you!' he yells, hoping to coerce the creature to charge at him, thus giving him the opportunity to strike at it.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)Minor: Divine Challenge on C10
Standard: Call to Arms on C10
Primary: Cha vs WP
    1d20+5=8
(har har)
Secondary, if by some miracle it hit, and pulled the bastard to me:
Cha + 2 vs AC
    1d20+12=16
DMG:
    2d8+4=18

Xander Morhaime:
The brown goblin seemed unimpressed, and took a brief break from keeping his spear stuck in Aden's side to hold out his arm with the middle claw extended towards the paladin.

The firethrowers in turn shifted around again at the top of the stair, letting loose another volley of fireballs. This time Saliak was the only one to receive any significant burns, the other shot flying over Tristan's head.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)Tristan misses horribly. Saliak gets hit for 8 damage (21 remaining).
