The Master and the Minion - IC Thread

<< < (10/86) > >>

Xander Morhaime:
The goblin was hit in the throat with the shuriken - and if that wasn't bad enough, while it scrabbled to pull the sharp bit of metal out, both of them got hit by a lightning blast from the dragonborn. It didn't leave much of an impression on the other goblin, but the one with the shuriken still in its throat looked a bit worse for wear.

Then things got a bit more hectic.

A shape detached from the shadows behind the nearest fire-bearing statue, leaping at Ryltar. It looked a fair deal like the brown goblins, though uglier, smellier, and green in colour. It also didn't appear too competent a fighter, as it missed its attack... but in doing so, distracted the drow while a second of the green creatures emerged from the shadows right next to the rogue. Before he could blink, the goblin's handblade had pierced his armour and he felt a nasty burning sensation around the wound - poison, no doubt.

Two more of the creatures leapt from the alcoves lining the stairs where the brown goblins stood, turning their attention on Saliak. One had briefly landed on the dragonborn's back, giving him a nasty cut for his troubles. The other again took advantage of the distraction, finding a chink in the runepriest's armour and sinking his blade in there, intense pain shooting through Saliak's body from the combination of a stab wound and the poison on the blade.

Madtrixr:
"Ambush! Should have saw this coming...! Saliak!" Aden decides to do what he does best: Pep talks. Aden breathes in deep, and concentrates on his voice. "Saliak! Show your Valor, and do not be cowed by their blows! You are one of the proud race of Dragonborn, and these lowly fools have no sway over your actions! Have faith, for I shall distract them in order for you to get into a more advantageous position!" Aden then moves in and this allows Saliak to sort of shift around to get out of the goblin sandwich and then he attempts a strike. It goes poorly, but at least Saliak can continue fighting.

S.K. Ren:
Before Ma'kirr could warn her allies, they charged head first into a trap. Bloodthirsty little idiots, she thought, while eying Saliak. Ok, not quite so little.... Looking over at Tristan, she noticed him stiff with surprise. "Hey, Knight Boy. Stop standing there and give Ryltar a hand."
Leaping into the fray, Ma'kirr took several blows from the goblins. Fresh blood running down her arm sent a wave of exhilaration through her body. One moment she was normal and the next her body erupted with fur and markings that were not present before. Her face too had become more bestial though still retaining a human like appearance. As she landed she stuck the ground, bowling over her opponents.

S.K. Ren:
((Covering for Gargulec. I bring you Tristan))

"Oh! Yes milady." quickly Tristan moved in to help Ryltar with the vain hope that the act would bring him onto Ma'kirr's good graces. Approaching the last standing goblin, he readied his sword.
"Now foul creature, lets see how you fare against an aware opponent." He taunted.
