The Master and the Minion - IC Thread

<< < (11/86) > >>

Xander Morhaime:
The green creatures seemed a lot harder to pin down than the others previously encountered, weaving and dodging away from blows to strike from a different quarter. However, despite her sustained injuries, Ma'kirr put their dodging on a momentary hold, smashing three of the wretched-smelling things to the floor. She did it so well, in fact, that one of the creatures stopped moving entirely and soon all that remained of it was a sphere of glowing green light. And, unfortunately, the smell.

The pike-soldiers, taking advantage of the confusion of the ambush, took the opportunity to charge in, focusing their attacks on Saliak and Ma'kirr, knocking both off their feet and leaving them badly injured - the monk in particular. Finally, in all the confusion, yet another of the green creatures had somehow managed to appear behind your ranks and leapt on Aden's back, delivering a painful stab before jumping off.

Xander Morhaime:
Landing only one blow out of three might have been furstrating, but sometimes just the one blow was enough - the creature thrashed about for a few moments when Ryltar's blade pinned it to the ground, then grew still, soon following the now-familiar pattern and collapsing into a sphere of greenish light.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)Assassin at H4 is very dead, but the smell will haunt you forever...

Tavana:
The Dragonborn considers his sudden view of the ceiling. This is most unfortunate. That smell will have to be dealt with, and swiftly. Shaking out his scales, Saliak stands up. With a glance at Ma'kirr, a bright gold rune solidifies itself on her armor. Turning, he addresses one of the small green creatures...with his warhammer.

Xander Morhaime:
Despite the grievous injuries inflicted upon it, the remaining assassin got to its feet again. However, its injuries seem to have taken a toll on its abilities, as it missed Saliak quite horribly. The Sneak that Tristan had singled out fared no better, its blade glancing off the paladin's shield harmlessly.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)Saliak heals Ma'kirr for 8 points (11 + 1 THP left, still bloodied) and himself for 11 points (26 left, not bloodied).
Saliak also does 23 damage to the remaining Assassin, leaving it (very) bloodied.
The assassin and sneak then proceed to miss horribly.Spoiler (click to show/hide)
