The Destructinator
Plasma Rifle + FNSB
Plasma Damage
(5d5)x10
((5-25)x10) -> 50-250
Max Clip Size 30
Regenerates 1 shot/step
Altfire: Railgun Blast (damage is 50d5, consumes 30 shots)
Altreload: Overcharge Nuke

Better? I preferred it the old way since it made you use all four Exotic Mod Packs in order to get a massively OP weapon

I was meaning to adjust it to make it a viable option to add to the game, now all it needs is firing times that balance it.

The first one was an overpowered gun but you can't put an onyx pack on a weapon.

On the one hand, yes, it would be nice to see some of the Horrible Ideas balanced for inclusion... on the other hand, just how powerful should a Plasma Rifle be with a Sniper Pack (guaranteed hit), a Nano Pack (regenerating Ammo but can't manually reload), and a Firestorm Pack (+1 shots fired); all three of which are incredibly rare (and one of which you can only get one of anyway?)

And on that note:

W
Cavern Worm
100 HP
No Armor
"This was a UAC experiment gone horribly right. At first it ate the Demons like it was supposed to. Then it decided it liked the taste of Humans as well."
Instantly moves in a straight line until it hits a wall, eating everything in its path for 300d1 damage (treat Invulnerable players and items and barrels and fluids as walls). Standing a knight's move away from it should keep you safe long enough to hurt it (it moves on one of the eight directions, not along an aim path). Is inactive until within the player's Line of Sight.
Guaranteed to drop a mod pack upon defeat.

F
Former ninja
30 HP
1 armor
"A zombified UED specialist in the field of assassinations."
The only enemy to actually make an effort to dodge by sidestepping. On the other hand, he is a melee fighter.
Armed with a combat knife. Drops: combat knife. (what did you expect? a katana and a smoke bomb?)
. . .

Armed with a katana. Drops katana(3d5) and smoke bomb :D

The problem with Melee Weapons is that they all do the exact same thing, with only a few variations on special ability. You've got the Combat Knife, which you walk into enemies to attack with. Then there's the Chainsaw, which... you walk into enemies to attack with. Then there's the Butcher's Cleaver, which is my personal favorite because it allows you to surprise people when... you walk into enemies to attack with it. Then there's the Loningus Spear and Azrael's Scythe, both of which have cool alternative abilities, but... you walk into enemies to attack with it. The Dragonslayer is THE game-breaking weapon to end all other game-breaking weapons, and the best part? You're practically invulnerable as you walk into enemies to attack with it.

Yeah.

Berserk! has plenty of interesting melee attacks, and I can imagine bringing some of them over to DoomRL (when tied to specific weapons) could be interesting.

Do we finally get one where we don't have to march (or sprint, as the case may be) into a bunch of monsters with ranged attacks?

[Monster's Name: The Devourer]
[Monster's Apperance: D]
[Monster's Armor: N/A]
[Monster's Description: "Nothing has disgusted you more than this ugly motherfucker!"]
_____________________________________________________________________
Right out of Diablo II, would devour corpses and them spit them at the enemies. (In this place, at YOU!)
The corpses explode when they hit the player or walls, making a 4 tile radius of blood and rotten gibs.
When player gets directly hit by it, he gets plenty of damage and is poisoned for 10 turns, losing 1HP each turn.
If player doesn't get directly hit, but is caught in the radius, he gets confused for 10 turns.
The monster can't use melee attacks, the monster likely swallows the corpse inside and lets it... Rot or... MELT?!

Well, if you aren't walking into enemies to attack with it, how can it be called a melee weapon?

But we already have such weapons! They are called "ranged".

Personal defener
mod (to armor or weapon)
mod can be applied only once to armor/weapon. After that, it installs cannon which shots one bullet 3d3 (ammo (mm) takes from the inventory) after each action into the closest enemy. If applied to weapon, it shoots from the second hand, type of damage is based on the weapon.

*beep: since now all plasma damage melts walls into lava!*

Angel of Superlative Confidence.

Forget about those weird episodes.  Armed with a random assortment of weapons, you take on the Bruiser Brothers, Cyberdemon and the Spider Mastermind one after another.

If you somehow manage a full win on this, congratulations!
