Not a bad evening - after finishing an HNTR AoLT run (melee FTW!) that started out as a bronze run and just plain refused to die, I sat and spammed AoPc HNTR runs. I'm sure you can imagine my frustration at missing out on the Compet-n Platinum Cross by 43 seconds :)

Mind you, I always feel a little... something about a win that involves an onyx modded red armor or a power modded onyx armor. It's just so ridiculously awesome. Don't ask why I was carrying those random mods, you won't get an answer.

Nastiest moment was on about level 22-23 or so, when I got a spider cave with the Mortuary stairs (shyeah, right) exposed and the real stairs surrounded by lava. Yay for plasteel boots and running.

(Aside: There were at least two pink weapons generated on normal levels, but neither of them wound up between me and the stairs so I don't know what they were.)

To me it looks like he just kept a quick pace and didn't stop for heavy thought.

Luck, phase kits and easy stairs probably played a big part too.

Yeah I had some pretty impressive luck at times. It is, of course, much easier to play "without thinking" when you've got Onyx modded red armor on :)
