You know for such small files you can always use free file-sharing sites such as www.mediafire.com :)

Hopefully it didn't contain a .exe since gmail filters those out IIRC.

This VERY old (it had to be patched for the Tandy 2000) game is doing alot of what you want to do, you may be able to pick up a thing or two from it.
