My first time playing as an Ultraviolent Marksman that I felt confident enough to go for Gun Kata. Usually, at this difficulty level, if I use up my upgrade points on Hellrunner and Dodgemaster instead of Ironman and Tough as Nails, I end up dying.
After my last bad experience with the lava elemental, I just nuked him this time. :P Actually, I nuked the level first, and then, after the elemental generated, I Angel Armed the place, courtesy of the Trigun I found. It destroyed the lava element prize, but luckily, there was an invulnerability globe on level 24, so I was still able to get my full win.
Once I got to level 26, I was in a silly mood and just decided to have some fun taking pot shots at Barons. I had about 700 bullets and 5 large med-packs and I wanted to see which one I ran out of first. (Turned out to be med-packs, but just barely) Each Baron took three rounds from my dual wielded Trigun and high-power pistol combo which was firing at 0.29 seconds per dualshot. So, I was firing faster than they could react, and insta-reloading after each one. When I decided I'd had enough, I just Angel Armed the place. :) Curiously, it gave me Veteran gold, but not Veteran platinum; I guess you have to be alive for it to be considered a full win. :P
