Right now I'm wondering whether if you sold some pills (painkillers or vitamins or whatever) and wrote on them "Now with 10% more placebo effect!"

A) people would buy them more or less
B) the pills would work more or less

I know I would buy them.

I remember seeing an article that apparently a placebo can still work if you tell them it's a placebo, so the answer to B might indeed be that it works better. Can't say anything about A, but if you make the message flashy enough, probably it would sell better as well.
