My first  HMP victory and first pacifist non partial victory.

 Q2Z0v, level 12 Cacodemon Warrant Officer Marine,
 nuked the Cyberdemon. on level 26 of the Phobos base.
 He survived 11477 turns and scored 62876 points.
 He played for 16 minutes and 55 seconds.
 He wasn't afraid to be hurt plenty.

 He killed 73 out of 510 hellspawn. (14%)
 Who gave him the ticket to hell, anyway?
 He was an Angel of Pacifism!

 2 didn't read the thermonuclear bomb manual.
 And 13 couldn't handle the stress and committed a stupid suicide.

 4 souls destroyed the Cyberdemon...
 1 sacrificed itself for the good of mankind.
 3 killed the bastard and survived.

I was really lucky this time. Lots of  "left as soon as possible" levels, two homing phase devices, lots of large medpacks, plenty invulnerability globes and berserker packs resulted in having full inventory of madpacks on lvl 22. I found another invul globe near the stairs on lvl 22, on lvl 23 there was a computer map in three tiles from the place i appeared. The stairs were ~10 tiles further. On lvl 24 i used last phase device and then managed to nuke cyberdemon.
I picked marine class because of great +50% powerup length. Technician just isn't suited for AoPc and Scout's ability of feeling stairs don't work on AoPc. So, in my opinion marine class is best for AoPc and it made this challenge much easier.

Is there a way to kill John Carmack on AoPc without another thermonuclear bomb? I mean does he damage himself with his rockets splash or maybe monsters that he creates can harm him? When i get to him i just let him kill me thinking that i can't do anything but now i wonder if i kept healing myself (i had lots of medpacks) and tried to survive as long as i can maybe i could achieve a full victory.
Another question. I looked into some victory mortems of N! AoPc and noticed that HR trait is not used in them. Why? Is it useless? I thought that running fast and dodging bullets is the best way to survive an AoPc.
I tried N! AoPc and reached lvl18 twice with HR and without HR. So maybe it is equally efficient.

Marine is probably the best way to go on AoPc, just because of the extra powerup durations. Most of the time you're stringing from one zerk to the next, and the extra time simply makes that a lot easier. Scout isn't exactly a bad option, though, as the increased movement can really help out over time.

This is a definite no. As a matter of fact, he can't even take damage whenever it's his turn, so he can't hurt himself with splash and can't be hurt by other enemies' projectiles. It's a good thing you've already gotten your Pacifism Gold, because this victory would not have given you one (see here for details).

If you're looking at N! AoPc then you're also probably looking at Pacifism Diamond attempts, which specifically require you to win without the use of Hellrunner. Most people feel that the amount of luck required to win is far more significant than the invested traits, so if you're aiming for a Nightmare! win then you may as well go for the diamond.

I did the same thing the first time I got to Cybie in AoPc Nightmare, nuking him while invulnerable only to find that I couldn't defeat JC.  I thought the same thing as you, that maybe I could maneuver him into a crossfire and get him to injure himself, but no such luck.  I don't think it's possible without a second nuke.  Unfortunately, you don't get the Pacifism Badge if JC kills you.  (I found that out the hard way)  :|  Still, getting to JC in AoPc is fun for the novelty value.  :)

I think people aren't getting HR so they can get the Pacifism Diamond Badge.  :)  HR is generally quite useful in AoPc, especially if you can get the FireAngel Master Trait so you don't take damage from explosions.  (Although, you would have to play as a scout to get that now)

EDIT:  Argh!  Ninja'd!  :P
