Computer Map Power Up
« on: November 11, 2005, 07:37 »

How about making computer maps actually useful by allowing them to display power ups on the map, or for just one turn. This way the maps would be a welcome powerup if you are on low health or you hear scary noises around and you would like to know where to retreat to.

Not necessarily.
If it's just showing us the locations of the items, even for just a few turns, there's still the possibility (the likelyhood) that we haven't explored those areas yet. Which means they could be full of enemies. Not something you necessarily wanna run into when low on health. I think this could actually enhance gameplay, because you have to weigh the risks against the benefits. Also, you could code it so that the powerups are all a grey color. So the health pack could be anything the the "+" represents. Or the "^" represents. That would make it a little more difficult. :)
