The lamp-pack hanging on the rope revealed that the room right under you is a kind of a broad corridor leading between countless pipes. There is probably a way through. Probably even a better one than trying to cross the hole and head through the pipe all along.

But then, something else catches Klear's glimpse.
Looks like a spider's web. An enormous one.

Skittering noises keep echoing in the distance...

[Esther]

Following MkLear's gaze, Xilla spots the web. "Uh, spiders, we used to eat them back home but they taste like shit" She pauses and listens to the skittering noises. "Looking at the web this could either be a really big one, or a loads of small ones. Nope, sure not an easy way in"

[Klear]

MkLear stands completely still, staring at the web. If it wasn't for his hand with the dice still moving, it would seem as if he's completely paralyzed. Only Xilla's words wake him up. "As long as it is you who does the eating," he says at last, nervously. "I don't like the noise. Are you sure we can't find another way inside?"

[HexaDoken]

HexaDoken looks down in the hole. He stays still for a few seconds, and then takes a double barreled shotgun out of his bag. Checks if it is loaded.

Weeeelll... Who moves first?

I ready my autopistol, just in case.

[Esther]

"Well, you get their attention by moving the web, like there's something caught in there." Xilla closes her eyes as she tries to remember. "But when you do make sure you are prepared. Spiders don't die easy. Wish we had a flamethrower, roasted they taste best."
While Xilla is talking she takes her crossbow pistol out of the backpack and starts loading it again.

Unsure whether the web is in the downwards tube, or in the tunnel ahead. Assuming it's down:

Lazerus steps onto the rope, holding it in place, and readies his autogun. "Assuming we have nothing to make a fire with, I can use the lamp as bait, if you're ready... "

[Klear]

"Need a light? Just tell me," MkLear says to Lazerus, puffing on his lho-stick. "We should wait a bit and examine this place carefully, before you do something rash."

Is that drawing still on the way, Silhar? I don't want to rush you, but on the other hand I don't want us making too many assumptions.

[HexaDoken]

Crouched, HexaDoken looks at his friends. He then sidesteps a bit to the right, places his shotgun on his shoulder, and takes another weapon from the bag - a laser rifle. Weapon emits a tiny dull light. Little gauge indicates that weapon is fully charged and ready. Mercerenary then aims weapon down the hole.

"In case of something, I'm covering ya."

"We should wait a bit and examine this place carefully, before you do something rash."

"You're right", Lazerus says as he hauls the lamp back up. "We should make torches of some kind, if at all possible. Maybe the seats from the lander will burn. Fire's the one thing any of these crawling bastards can't stand."

[Klear]

"Feth, I'm not going back to the lander again," MkLear protests, annoyed at the prospect of making the journey again. "Besides, we don't even know if it's spiders that's making the noise, nor do we know if they are really a threat." That last part doesn't come out too convincing.

[Esther]

Xilla looks at MkLear and laughs

[Klear]

"What's so funny?" he snaps back. "If you have any suggestion, say it. I'm sick of standing in this reeking pipe."

He throws his lho-stick into the hole and immediately lights another one.

[Esther]

"You're scared" Xilla is now looking at MkLear as if he's a freak.

Lazerus heads back out again, trying to clear his head and find some more tools. Preferably flammable ones.
