But im afraid that original (Roadside) cannot be base for RL. There were no fights, no monsters and so.

That's what I like about the idea. Make it somehow that you'd have to avoid the traps and weird phenomena instead of shooting you way though the zone. No idea how exactly it would work, but it sounds lovely.

So this poll is not so much as a "work on which RL next" poll, but a "release which RL next" one.

I hope the distinction is clearer?  Hahahaha...

Well, unless AliensRL development had been hidden from the beta testers, there were no distinctive changes for ...7 months. And the last alpha version is unplayable, so releasing it would be a bad move now. It needs the work to be done.

I vote other :P

KK's choice... but personally I'd like to see something to do with exploring a realistically sized city (As in Buildings are the same size inside and out). Think of it as practice for more creative map generating.

Do you lurk on the Chaosforge IRC channel? You can see code commits happen there if you hang around, so you can see the work that happens.

For reference, the most recent SVN revision of AliensRL happened on the 18th of June, just a couple weeks ago.

No, I do not lurk - though I should =( .
But it is always good to hear that some work is being done :) !
